Have you misplaced, forgotten, or never ordered a Venmo card? Do you still have doubts about whether or not Venmo allows withdrawals without a card?

While Venmo cannot be used at a cardless ATM, there are alternative methods that can be used to withdraw money from Venmo without a credit card. Among them are:

  • A switch of bank accounts and debit cards
    seeking assistance from a friend.
    Obtaining a Venmo account
    The use of a prepaid debit card that can be used anywhere in the world

We covered all four of these approaches in this tutorial:

Is it possible to withdraw money from Venmo without using a credit card?

Understand this: Venmo does not support cash withdrawals from ATMs without a card. As a result, you can’t get cash out of Venmo if you don’t have your card with you. This is because Venmo lacks the features required to handle such deals at this time.

As a result, you can only use your debit card to withdraw money from Venmo at an ATM (at a cost of $2.50 per withdrawal*) or at most major bank or credit union branches (at a cost of $3.00 per withdrawal), and you must present your debit card1.

At MoneyPass ATMs, you won’t be charged any withdrawal or balance inquiry fees. Read about the places available here.

Use a Different Payment Account

It’s possible that you have access to another bank account, debit card, or credit card that can be used at an ATM in place of your Venmo card.

The most convenient way to withdraw cash from an ATM is with a debit card that is linked to a checking or savings account. Select Add a bank or card, and then Bank in the Venmo app settings to link a bank account to your Venmo account and withdraw funds from your Venmo balance. Once your account is verified, you can choose to have your Venmo balance transferred to your bank account within one to three business days (at no cost) or immediately (for a commission fee of 1.00%) using the 1-3 Business Days or Instant options. ².

Using this method, you can transfer funds from your Venmo account to a debit card linked to a different bank account.

On the other hand, if you’ve misplaced your entire wallet, including your Venmo card, this solution won’t help you out.

Requirements

  • Funds in Venmo and either an additional bank account or
  • a second debit card.

2: Have a buddy help you out.

If you don’t have a Venmo card but have a friend who does, and that friend is willing to help, then you can ask that friend to withdraw the money for you.

With this method, your friend can get the money you send them to withdraw quickly, and all you have to do is tap Pay and enter their username, phone number, or email address. You can also pay a friend by scanning their QR code within the app, provided they are nearby.

Supplies needed

  • A close buddy;
  • money in your Venmo account;
    a wirelessly connected mobile device, such as a smartphone.

3. You can get a Venmo card.

Although it may not occur to everyone right away, ordering a Venmo card is a viable option if you won’t be using your case right away. Getting the card is free, as is using it on a day-to-day basis, and it can be linked directly to your Venmo balance for easy access to funds.

In most cases, it takes between five and seven days for the card to reach its destination after it has been ordered.

What You’ll Need

  • Having a valid form of identification (driver’s license, passport, social security card, etc.) and
  • A Venmo account
